How can I prevent shedding and tangling?
Gently detangle your unit regularly, avoid excessive heat and chemical processing, and use suitable hair care products. Be especially gentle around the lace and knots, as excessive pulling can contribute to shedding.
How should I store my wig?
Store your unit on a wig stand or mannequin head when possible. Keep it in a clean, dry area away from direct sunlight. Make sure the hair is completely dry before storing to help maintain its quality and style.
How should I wash my wig?
Gently detangle your unit before washing. Use a moisturizing, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner formulated for human hair. Avoid rough scrubbing, twisting, or bunching the hair together, especially the hair on the lace it is more fragile . Rinse thoroughly with cool water then let the unit air dry completely.
Can I use heat on my wig?
Yes, but excessive heat can cause dryness, damage, and changes in the hair’s texture. Always use a heat protectant and a suitable temperature. We recommend minimizing unnecessary heat to help maintain the quality of your unit.
How should I maintain my curls?
Avoid excessive heat when refreshing your curls. Use a heat protectant when applying heat and allow your unit to cool completely before separating the curls. For longer-lasting results, use the styling techniques demonstrated in our complimentary tutorials.
Should I take my wig to a professional for maintenance?
Yes! We recommend visiting a professional stylist for additional coloring, cutting, chemical processing, lace repairs, or major restyling. Professional maintenance can help preserve the quality and longevity of your unit.
Can I bleach my knots again?
We do not recommend repeatedly bleaching your knots. Overprocessing can weaken the hair at the lace and lead to shedding or bald spots. If additional customization is needed, please consult a professional stylist.
Can I bleach or color my wig again?
Our customized units have already undergone a customization process. Additional chemical processing may weaken the hair, cause dryness, or affect the overall quality of your unit. We recommend consulting a professional before attempting any additional coloring or chemical treatments.
Can I scratch my scalp underneath my wig?
Avoid scratching directly through the lace, as your nails can snag or tear the material. If your scalp feels itchy, gently pat the area instead of scratching. If irritation persists, consider removing your wig and caring for your scalp.
How should I care for my lace?
Be gentle with your lace at all times. Avoid scratching, picking, or pulling at the lace, as this can cause tearing, damage, or premature balding. Handle your lace carefully when applying, removing, and styling your wig.a small amount of dawn dish soap and water then shampooing and conditioning can remove product buildup.
How should I brush or detangle my wig?
Always use a wide-tooth comb or a wig-friendly brush to gently detangle your unit. Start at the ends and gradually work your way up to avoid unnecessary shedding and breakage. Never pull or force your way through tangles.
How do I care for my customized wig?

Will my wig look exactly like the pictures?
We strive to recreate the styles shown in our product photos. However, slight variations in color and styling may occur.

What size should I order if I’m unsure?
Our average wig size is medium. If you’re unsure about your measurements, please refer to our Wig Size Reference Chart before ordering.
Do the wigs come with adjustable straps?
Yes! All units come with an adjustable band and drawstring to help provide a secure, comfortable fit.
What wig sizes do you offer?
We offer XS, S, M, L, and XL. We recommend measuring your head with a full braid-down for the most accurate fit.
How long does it take to receive my wig?
Processing times can take up to two weeks, but orders may be completed sooner. After processing is completed please also allow approximately 2–5 business days for shipping. Express shipping is 1-2 business days all ready to ship order ship next business day depending on what you select you can receive within 2-5 days or 1-2 days. Please reach out for any rush orders for an additional fee
Can I request pre-cut lace or added edges?
Yes! You can select these options when placing your order, where available.
Are the wigs ready to wear?
Our Airewighouse customized wigs come fully customized, colored (when applicable), cut, and styled. They’re designed to give you a beautiful, ready-to-wear look with minimal effort.
Do you offer uncustomized wigs?
Yes! We offer uncustomized wigs for customers who prefer to customize their units themselves OR have their favorite stylist do it.
Can I request a specific color or length?

Can I provide my own bundles and closure ?
